Per questa puntata di DUBVERSION, tutti i sabati su RADIO KAIROS, sono stati nostri ospiti graditissimi in studio i DUB ENGINE, ovvero Nicolò e Sabrina, un po' l'equivalente a Bologna degli Alpha&Omega, in una versione ulteriormente più carica!!! Dalle loro info ufficiali:

"E' un progetto nato a Bologna nel settembre del 2009 composto dal dub producer Nicolò Tucci aka "TUX" (keyboards, dubmaster) e Sabrina Ferro (voce, percussioni, flauti). Il duo affonda le proprie radici nello stepper dub, proponendo una potente miscela di sperimentazione e roots tradizionale, influenzata dalla scena dub inglese (Bush Chemists, Alpha & Omega, Vibronics, Iration Steppa...), new french-dub (Zenzile, ODG, Panda Dub, Ackboo, Dawa Hi-Fi, High Tone…) e dub-reggae jamaicana (Lee Perry, King Tubby…). Nel 2010 pubblicano il loro primo album "Dub Engine" per la net label italiana "Irie On Air" sotto licenza gratuita Creative Commons, riscuotendo inaspettato successo all'estero, soprattutto in Francia, terra fertile nel genere. Dopo l'uscita di "Warrior In The Fight" sul sesto capitolo della serie francese di compilation stepper/electro-dub "STEP4i" si è avviata una prolifica collaborazione con la Original Dub Gathering, netlabel francese, per il loro prossimo album, un lavoro denso di contaminazioni ethno-dub e roots, in attesa per la prossima primavera."
